Shawn Paul Sells 06/09/1965 - 06/28/2023 Text: Obituary & Services Photos & Video Condolences (2) Send Flowers Plant Trees Share Share A Memory Send Flowers Plant Trees Subscribe Obituary For Shawn Paul Sells Shawn Sells, 58, Perry, IA Shawn Paul Sells was born on June 9,1965 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Robert and Pauline (Sieglaff) Sells and passed away on Wednesday, June 28,2023 at the Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa. Shawn lived in various towns in Iowa before moving to Colorado where he attended Aurora Central High in Aurora, Colorado. He was united in marriage to Penney Kay Wilson atop of Loveland Basin Ski Area in Colorado on February 14, 1998. They made their home in Perry, Iowa. Shawn worked at Denver Zoo where he crafted his skills to become a Licensed Master Plumber. Shawn enjoyed creating his seven-cheese lasagna which everyone enjoyed. Drag racing and riding his Harley Davidsons were his passion. His favorite place to be was at his home which he named Laid Back & Lazy Acres. Shawn is survived by his wife, Penney K. Sells of Perry; father-in-law, Robert Wilson of Perry; one brother, Robert Sells, Jr of Jefferson; and one sister, Michelle York of Jefferson; other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Along with his special puppy Morgan and cats, Grinch, Berkley, Baxter and Oreo. He is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Colleen Wilson and his parents.
