A visitation will begin an hour prior to the service. Donna passed away Sunday, June 18,2023 at the Lutheran Home Kings Garden Campus. Donna was born in Des Moines, IA on December 29,1943, the daughter of Lester Harvey and Mildred Lucille (Block) Hanson. She graduated from Runnells High School. Donna married Burt Jurgensen on August 7,1963 in Runnells, IA. Donna worked at Woodward State Hospital as a health care worker for many years. Her last job was getting up very early to make donuts for Casey’s before she decided to retire from the working world. Mom was the kindest woman that I’ve ever met. She always gave a lot and took very little. She would take in stray kids and some adults and would take care of them with no questions asked. Mom loved to play games and loved to read. Her favorite channel on television was the paranormal channel and she would try to pick it apart or really love it! Above all, she loved her family! Survivors include her two daughters, Dana Jurgensen of W. Des Moines, IA, Breta Jurgensen of Woodward, IA; one son Curtis Jurgensen of Woodward, IA; two sisters Marilyn (Frank) Bell, Debra ...
