Bomgaars is a family-owned and operated retail chain headquartered in Sioux City, Iowa, serving farm, ranch, and suburban customers since 1944. Founded by William H. Bomgaars who started as a traveling salesman in Middleburg, Iowa in 1931, the company has grown to 180 locations in 18 states with nearly six thousand employees. Now owned by Roger Bomgaars and his wife Jane - the third generation of the Bomgaars family - the company remains true to its Iowa roots. The first branch store opened in Yankton, South Dakota, in 1956, and the chain has grown steadily through both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions. Bomgaars became the second-largest farm and ranch retail chain in the United States, offering a comprehensive range of products including farm equipment, agricultural supplies, workwear, footwear, hardware, automotive parts, tools, and power equipment.[2]
