About

Holt Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, & Electrical is a family-owned and operated company that has served the Des Moines area since 1947. Founded by John F. Holt and his wife Edith, the company originally opened in Afton, Iowa. In the mid-1970s, their son Lynn, who had been working in the plumbing industry in Des Moines, returned to join the family business. In 1977, Lynn and his wife Dixie opened a second location in Winterset that quickly grew to service Des Moines and its surrounding areas. The company has distinguished itself as an area staple for nearly eight decades, building a reputation on tackling challenging projects with ease and always delivering successful outcomes. Their NATE-certified team is equipped with the skills and tools to handle everything from new air conditioner installation to plumbing repair and electrical panel upgrades. In 2012, they moved their headquarters to Valley Junction. Holt provides complete HVAC, plumbing, and home service solutions for residential and commercial customers, with 24/7 emergency service availability.[2]
