About
Scratch Cupcakery was founded in June 2010 by Natalie Brown as part of the historic Cedar Falls, Iowa downtown Main Street district. Brown's lifelong love for baking and making people smile drove her to open what became the very first cupcake bakery in the Cedar Valley. With more than 400 cupcake flavors on a rotating menu including vegan options, Scratch offers bakers choice flavors, giant cookies, edible cookie dough, whole cakes, cupcake shakes, frozen fruit smoothies, frozen blends, hot drink options, and fresh-squeezed lemonade. Since its founding, Scratch has grown to storefronts in multiple Iowa cities with over 150 employees, plus Scratch Curbside service available in 150 cities across Iowa and Illinois. Scratch Cupcakery was named 2018 Woman-Owned Business of the Year.[2]
