About
Zombie Burger + Drink Lab is a horror-themed gourmet burger restaurant in the East Village of Des Moines, Iowa, founded in 2011 by chef George Formaro. The restaurant is managed by Orchestrate Hospitality, the group behind other acclaimed Des Moines restaurants including Centro, Django, and Malo. The restaurant features GoreMet Bashed Burgers with customizable patties including special grind beef, chicken, vegan options, and portobello mushroom. The menu extends to chicken strips, salads, appetizers, sides, kids' meals, and an extensive beverage program featuring spiked shakes, draft beers, cocktails, and wines. By 2014, the restaurant had served its one millionth burger. Zombie Burger offers dine-in service with a waitlist via the Tock platform, as well as carryout and delivery through Toast Tab. The restaurant runs a loyalty program called "The Horde" and features weekly specials including a Tuesday kids' meal deal.[2]
