Fayette Community Library

The Fayette Community Library was established through the cooperation of various organizations and individuals, with the concept originating from the Shakespeare Club. The library's development involved the efforts of many women and women's groups. It began with a committee appointed in 1934 to study the need for a public library in Fayette. The library's control shifted to the town council in 1936, with financial support made available from local taxation.
